"I have long loved the image of a soaring raptor whether it be eagle, hawk or other bird of prey. The way a soaring bird can catch the thermal winds and drift effortlessly is truly an amazing thing. While my wife and I were in Denali National Park we saw several soaring birds, many being the majestic Bald Eagle. This painting is a compilation of several reference photos taken in Denali and composed to make the perfect painting of a soaring Bald Eagle."
